Great experience for me (guitar) and my wife (piano). Ron taught us the basics and helped establish good foundations in reading and playing. His sound systems and access to music makes his studio worthwhile.

Ron is as good as it gets when you are looking for a musical instructor. He is professionally trained, naturally talented and easy going. He is extremely patient, knowledgeable and open minded. I am so grateful to have found him for my son and I. He's wonderful!!!

I've been fortunate to study Classical Guitar with Ron Leighty for over 8 years.  As a young musician, I played piano and trombone .  I "played" the instruments but never really enjoyed them.  After many years, I decided to learn to play the guitar.  The Ron Leighty Guitar Studio was close to home so I enrolled.  Ron helped me select a Classical Guitar.  We then started the lifelong endeavor of learning to play the beautiful and humbling instrument.  His method is structured to teach guitar fundamentals, musicianship, theory and explore numerous classical guitar composers.  All while working around my busy professional career.  

I have been taking guitar lessons for about two years from Ron Leighty and will continue to do so for as long as he is teaching.  I started out as a true beginner, never having taken any form of music lessons.  Ron has the patience of a saint and is extremely knowledgable on all fronts of music.  I am learning how to read, write, play, and how to use several computer applications that assist in the learning and playing of music.  He has also helped guide me through my musical purchases and how to use them.  I highly recommend Ron Leighty Guitar Studio to anyone wanting to play and learn about music at any age.  Norma Aker

Ron is an excellent teacher and musician.   I've been taking lessons from him for over 20 years and am still learning.   He can teach any kind of music you wish to learn from classical to rock, blues and jazz.    He can also help you with writing and recording.
